The location

The surrounding countryside is unspoilt and beautiful, dotted with historic remains and interesting small villages, with a rugged coastline offering a variety of quiet beaches and coves.

There are numerous historic sites of interest to visit, and some great gardens open to the public, including RHS Logan.
